About the Type A Pen
A P1P pallet base fitted with IATA-specified sheep and goat pens in a triple-deck arrangement.
Triple-decking makes efficient use of main-deck height for small livestock, tripling the animals carried per pallet position. Tare for the triple-deck build is 610 kg. Loadable on freighter main decks only.

- A P1P pallet base fitted with sheep and goat pens in a triple-deck arrangement.
- A standard pallet base with IATA-specified stalls or pens fitted and secured to it.
- Partitioned decks — single, double or triple — sized to the animal being carried.
- Ventilation panels, with either a canvas top or a solid roof depending on the build.
- Absorbent flooring and waste containment.
Why it is used
- Purpose-built to the IATA Live Animals Regulations, so the unit itself satisfies much of the compliance requirement.
- Multiple decks make efficient use of main-deck height for smaller animals.
- Modular — stalls can be reconfigured for different species and consignment sizes.
